Visual Exploration
My sketchbook has always been more than a place for drawings—it's a daily tool for reflection, growth, and observation. Keeping a sketchbook with me throughout the day helps me stay present, engaged, and open to the world around me. Whether I’m jotting down a grocery list, sketching an idea, or recording a passing thought, this practice keeps my creativity active and my perspective sharp.

Process
A Record of the Everyday
Carrying my sketchbook allows me to document the ordinary moments that often go unnoticed—people on the street, textures in the environment, snippets of conversation. These small observations become the foundation for larger ideas and projects, and help me stay rooted in the real world. This connection to the present moment brings authenticity and relatability into my work.
A Creative Gym
My sketchbook acts as a space to experiment freely—no pressure, just process. It’s where my style evolves, where new compositions are born, and where ideas begin before becoming murals, prints, or animations. The daily habit of drawing keeps my mind nimble and my hand confident, making it easier to respond to creative opportunities as they come.
An Inventory
Over time, my sketchbooks have become a personal archive—part journal, part inventory. They hold ideas I return to, early concepts I might revisit for future projects, and evidence of my artistic growth. Looking back through them not only inspires new work but also reminds me of how far I’ve come as an artist.
Outcome
This ongoing sketchbook practice has helped me stay creatively proactive and culturally aware. By consistently engaging with the world through drawing, I’m able to create work that feels grounded, responsive, and meaningful. It’s not just a tool for practice—it’s a bridge between everyday experience and artistic expression, allowing me to create art that connects with people on a personal level.
