WOODEN CONFIGURAL CIRCLE
Overview
250 Piece Wooden Sculpture ~4' x 4' | Inquire for Pricing | The work began with a hand-drawn configuration on paper using pen and ink. I then digitized the work to translate the designs to be laser cut. Using two sheets of birch plywood, I designed a "skeleton" that would serve as a bridge for the second cut of 249 individual components. Each piece, I then hand-sanded, refined using a Dremel, painted, and assembled using wood glue. This process merges traditional craftsmanship with digital precision of modern fabrication. The final sculpture, composed of 250 pieces, translates my 2D drawings into 3D space, reimagining wood working through contemporary means.
